After years of lacklustre advertising and a lack of clear brand strategy, Pizza Hut had become forgettable to New Zealanders, and sales numbers were nosediving.

Our pitch was a brave one - we asked the Pizza Hut team to rebuild their brand around one thing - a charismatic new brand ambassador called The Yumpire.

To consumers she’s the arbiter of taste, decider of all things delicious, always on a mission to delight Kiwi taste-buds. And for Pizza Hut she’s a much-needed brand reset, bringing with her a new confident tone, some youthful street-cred, and an instantly recognisable Pizza Hut world.

The risk has paid off and within months of launch Pizza Hut has gone from years of declining sales, to record sales growth across New Zealand.
